SUCCESS 2000 + Version 19 Upgrades and Changes
Version 19 Preview Highlights


We are constantly making changes to the SUCCESS 2000+ program. Over 300 program upgrades and improvements have been made during the past year. In the last 18 months we have added over 100,000 lines of code to our base package. Many of these modifications and improvements are the result of client input. In addition, many large projects have also been completed. We have beta tested and completed the development of our Version 19. Some of the elements included in this Version 19 release are

The Kit Within a Kit project: The ability to create Kits "on the fly" has always been one of SUCCESS*2000+ greatest responses to the needs of the lifting and load securement industry. The unique kitting feature of our software is designed to promote better inventory control and accommodates the intricacies of pricing that are associated with combining component parts. We have now added the ability to work with kits within kits. This added feature of "Kit-Within-Kit" exploits the kit functionality and expands it to include the concept of adding "permanent kits" into a kit as a component of the kit. These permanent kits can also be created to include permanent kits as a component of the kit. The permutations of this concept are astonishing in their complexity and variety. The extraordinary part of this programming is that the components of each kit including the "kit-within-kit" are allocated to the order at the time of order creation and the sale is tracked individually at the component level. This type of arrangement creates the opportunity for better inventory control. Understanding the usage of component items in a Kit will help you make better purchasing decisions. Better purchasing and inventory control are keys to improving your company's bottom line. Ultimately this project allows clients to have kits within kits while still maintaining all the integrity of the component level availability and allocation. This will allow a lot of flexibility for our clients who do light manufacturing. Countless hours of programming went into this product and we are excited about the opportunities that these changes will bring for our clients.

The latest RFID technologies: and bar coding have been incorporated into the SUCCESS*2000+ platform. Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is an automatic identification method, relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices called RFID tags or transponders. An RFID tag is an object that can be applied to or incorporated into a product for the purpose of identification using radio waves. The use of the RFID process in the wire rope industry has been growing and Distributor Computer Systems has worked with some of the leaders in the RFID Tag industry to integrate our software with their systems. Using a barcode reader and the SUCCESS*2000+ menu the system data is updated automatically. Connecting the record of sales of your slings to the tag that you install during the manufacture of the sling begins the historical data for that sling. This new field is a searchable record. Once a client returns with the sling for inspection the tag reader can again be used to identify all pertinent information that would be contained within the sales records.

We now have an automatic real time EDI capability for our customers You can accept their purchase orders, send advanced shipping notices, and send invoices to your customers who demand EDI. Every action is confirmed by an email notice sent to you. This automated feature supplants all of the manual effort you must perform when you accept an order from a client who uses only EDI. This offers you an automated marketing solution to allow you to sell to customers who require EDI.

In addition: We have a fully integrated currency program. This aspect of our program allows you to work with Clients and Vendors that would rather pay and receive all their documents in Non-native currencies. All the transactions can take place in the Customers or Vendors own currency. This will allow your company to take full advantage of favorable exchange rates to maximize your profits. This is one of the changes that will bring more real profit to your bottom line.

Also look For: The incorporation of our automated our month end process. We make a mirror image of your live database while performing the Month End backup. The process automatically performs the clear and shift programs on your live data. Again these features relieve the burden of multiple steps and create more time.

Another exciting addition: to our process is the integration of your Website and our data! With the system integration procedure that we have created, we can now interface with your website to make your customers Certifications available on line. Do you want to create more traffic on your website and give your customers an added convenience of printing their own certificates? This feature is currently available to all companies using Version 19. How many times have your customers requested additional copies of their proof certificates? This option gives them access to the information at any time of the day or night. Creating a password protected portal on your website for your customers will increase traffic to your site and provide them with the information they need. You can use this opportunity to promote products and services that you wish to highlight. Imagine the convenience of allowing your customers to log on to your website and be able to reprint their own Certs as they need them. Adding this feature will free the time and resource of your sales people so that they may stay on task and generate more income for your company.

All Laser forms to replace existing manual forms: We have added new laser forms to the forms available. Recently we modified our Fabrication sheet form so that it can be printed in a landscape format. This new format allowed us to add unique bar-coded information to the order line. This will aid the manufacturing process. We have also created Laser Form Inventory Cards. You will no longer need to stock or provide printing capability for Large Format Inventory Cards!

Auto-Fill: In this latest Version we have split the FIFO and SUB product file into separate files! In making this change we were able to reconstitute our AUTO FILL feature. In OE you can choose to have the Sub-products selected for you. By using this feature you can save time and money.
